Due Thursday Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words: You are a CIO of a technology company and have been invited to give a presentation on home automation to a group of high school students in a technology club. You have been asked to discuss how the internet can be used to provide full home automation and the larger concept of IoE.Explain what you would present to the students, and why.In your responses to your peers, address any thoughts you have on management considerations/security concerns relative to the organizational use of advanced networking/Internet connectivity (IoT and IoE) devices.Reply to at least 2 of your classmates. Be constructive and professional in your responses.PEER 1Internet of things (IoT) refers to the inter-networking of devices often referred to as connected devices such as buildings, vehicles as well as other items that have sensors, electronics, network connectivity embedded on them and enables these devices to exchange data as well as collect it. This enables information to be shared easily globally. This has greatly contributed to the reduction of the world to a global village. This is because collection and sharing of data is made easy through the use of the internet of things. Internet of everything (IoE), on the other hand, refers to the consumer products as well as devices outfitted with digital features and they are usually connected to the internet. The use of such devices or rather products ensures the consumers can access the internet easily hence ensure information can be obtained and shared easily. And last but not least you could add The industrial internet of things (IIoT) that refers to the extension and use of the internet of things (IoT) in industrial sectors and applications.Basically IoT, IoE, and IIoT have the same principle and definition, but each refers to a specific field. Internet of things refers to our daily devices connected to the internet, Internet of Everything refers to machine to machine communication and Industrial Internet of Things refers to smart factories connected to the internet. There are some great advances in all of them. As well as some very bad things.PEER 2Today, with the Internet of Things, home automation is very advanced. The devices and hardware can connect to each others via a Local Area Network or a Wide Area Network. Automation is a set of hardware and software that operate together to perform a specific task. Automation helps businesses be more productive, more efficient and saves labor cost. With the evolution of technology, systems could be operated or controlled remotely. Nowadays, embedded codes are integrated in automatic systems to help with analytic which in turn helps managers make better and quicker decisions. However, although automation is a new technology that helps us in so many ways, it comes with a risk. A network security breach is a major concern that should be considered when upgrading or switching to an automation system; therefore, while I would encourage automation, I highly recommend homeowners and businesses to have a network study before engaging in such system. There are other risks associated with automation such as injuries. Because of the nature of the system, if not properly configured, could result to severe damages or death or safety issue. Imagine having a home garage door opening by itself in the middle of the night. For all these reasons, I think it is important to understand the advantages and risks associated with automation.
